CLAIM

A link have been seen on different social media platforms especially WhatsApp claiming that Laycon have decided to shower monetary gift to appreciate fans for there supports.

WHO IS LAYCON?

Olamilekan Massoud Al-Khalifah Agbeleshebioba (born 8 November 1993), known professionally as Laycon, is a Nigerian media personality, rapper, singer and songwriter. He is the winner of Big Brother Naija season 5 and currently the youth ambassador of Ogun State, Nigeria since 6 October 2020, He also won the Artist Of The Year at the 2020 Naijatraffic Awards.

One of the buzzing news on social media is the just concluded Big brother naija season 5 that ended last night. People who didn’t know when it started got to know the end because of the great number of followers the reality show has generated in the period of three months. It is no longer a news that Laycon was announced winner of the #85millions worth of prize.

The information is false. After clicking the link (https://laycon-appreciations.club) , it directs you to a page where you’re supposed to input your account number, but when you click on enter account number option, it just redirects to various pages Due to the trending news many cyber scammers use this moment to scam naive and euphoria citizens.

CONCLUSION

The information is false. Laycon isn’t giving out monetary gift to fans.
