ROUNDCHECK Partners With Learnaholics Academy On Fact-checking 

ROUNDCHECK has secured a partnership with Learnaholics Academy, a platform for learning, to offer courses on fact-checking which would be made accessible to individuals around the world.

This was confirmed by the Executive Director of ROUNDCHECK, Caleb Ijioma in a press statement.

It reads, “As part of our efforts to increase awareness about the importance of fact-checking and to train people on the fact-checking process, ROUNDCHECK has secured a partnership with Learnaholics Academy to offer a course on fact-checking which would be made accessible to individuals around the world for free.”

“Learnaholic is an educational institute offering a wide range of online courses with more than 5000 students in 25 countries. 

“This is important especially now that internet users are increasing with no idea of the effect of sharing information without going through a verification process. We at ROUNDCHECK believe that one way to tackle false information is to create awareness of its effect and train people on the fact-checking process.”

“Our partnership with Learnaholics will give us a greater Avenue to train and teach people about fact-checking, and its various importance.

“As you all know that our aims and objectives as a youth-led fact-checking organization have never been subjugated for any reason, rather we keep on waxing stronger with the motive to end the spread of false information and train people, especially young people on fact-checking.”

Also, Olatunbosun Olalekan, Executive Director of Learnaholics Academy, confirmed the partnership in another statement.

It reads, “Fact-checking has become an important tool in curbing unnecessary media tension and spread of fake news, especially while elections are approaching and the nation is faced with diverse challenges. As an advocate for education, having the course hosted with us in collaboration with ROUNDCHECK will affirm our commitment to our core values and place a demand on us to keep at it.
