ROUNDCHECK Findings
A click on the claimed link reveals a graphic design with a brief insight into the program’s goal and objective.
Just below the brief introduction of the program is a registration form requesting the applicant’s details.
ROUNDCHECK noticed an applicant can have access to the next page, by just filling the gender section on the form which was made compulsory.
The next page unveils a congratulatory message to the applicant.
The message is grammatically incorrect with poor punctuation structure which should not have emanated from any government agency.
The last page of the website conveys a congratulatory note and in the next step, the applicant needs to have access to the withdrawal page. Here, applicants are asked to share the invite link until the blue bar is filled. It requires that applicants share the links to 15 friends or 5 WhatsApp groups.
With the aid of Google lens, ROUNDCHECK identified the original page of the graphics design found on the claimed website.
The result reveals the graphic source to be the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) verified website.
Also, with the aid of Scamadviser, a website verification tool, ROUNDCHECK was able to get an in-depth analysis of the claimed website.
Scamadviser gave a low review to jubilee-program.make-enroll.online(the link attached to the claim) based on several data points that were found online. The claimed website possesses a lot of negative highlights.
Apart from the two-month-old claimed website, there is a high number of suspicious websites on the claimed server and the site is a website within another website.
This means that the website is including or iframing functionality located on another web server. I.e what you see may be located on a completely different website.
No Application Information On NJFP Page
ROUNDCHECK searched through the NFPJ verified website, Twitter, and Facebook but didn’t find anything relating to the claimed application.
We also noticed that the application for the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme is currently closed on the organization’s original website which illustrates there is no active application at the time of this report.
Verdict
The viral post on social media with the claim that the National Jubilee Fellow Programme 2022 application is open, is INCORRECT. Research has shown the application is currently closed
