Claim
An X user with the @Chommyellacakes posted a picture showing a boy kneeling between two girls, alleging him as a JSS 3 boy who impregnated two girls in Asaba.

The picture has since gone viral on social media pages claiming it happened in Asaba, the capital of Delta State, Nigeria.
Another facebook user posted the same picture with a caption:
”He don happen! This 14yrs old boy in JSS secondary for Asaba has allegedly impregnated 2 girls.”
Moreover, this picture he posted on the 25th of March has generated 225 likes,53 comments and 1 repost as at the time of writing this report.
Another user, Prince ChuksTV posted that same picture with a caption: “14-year-old Jss boy allegedly impregnates two girls in Asaba. His soon-to-be baby mamas are in SS1 And SS2 respectively.”
It generated about 24 likes,15 comments and 45 reposts as of 28th of March, 2024.
Iheke Godson posted the same picture on facebook which had generated 50 likes,15 comments and one repost.
Also, on X (formerly Twitter), one ‘Remedy Blog’ posted the same picture with the caption “14 year old boy allegedly puts two secondary school girls in the family way in Asaba, Delta state.”
The virality of the picture was the reason for fact-checking the report and trace the authenticity of the picture so as to set the record straight.
ROUNDCHECK Findings
We subjected the video to a search engine to know if it happened in Asaba, but it shows nothing relating to such an incident in Asaba Nigeria.
ROUNDCHECK subjected the picture to a Google reverse image and found out that the same picture and caption has been posted by blogs and individuals on their social media platforms.
We went further to check and we found out that the incident happened in Cameroon and not Asaba as claimed.
We searched for a Cameroon media page and found a news article posted on 20 March 2024 with the same picture saying the incident happened in Bafoussam Cameroon and not Asaba Nigeria.
Verdict
The picture showing a student kneeling between two girls, and alleged to have impregnated two girls in Asaba did not happen in Asaba, Nigeria as claimed- it happened in Cameroon.
